What if your home felt like you? What if you could completely be yourself in all areas of life? How would that feel? How would your world be different?

Start in the Middle

Having a fun conversation with my daughter. It all started with a conversation about her desire to be an actual bard. Well, really it started last night when we were talking about how her back was out of alignment and that led to talking about her room (because I'm me) and we discovered what area was out of alignment. Purpose, it all boiled down to purpose.

She hadn't even done any of the work in her room and just the awareness last night had her writing in her book, after being stuck for a while. Along with the book was her talking about what she really wants to do. She wants to go around singing and telling stories in person like an actual bard. Just that awareness last night was powerful enough to get her moving forward. Imagine what will happen when she actually does the work in her room!

It led me to talking about my career. What room in the house is associated with my career? The laundry room. We talked about how overwhelming it is. Her stuff is in there. My mom's stuff is in there. My stuff is getting buried. How I don't know where to start? This is where her quote comes in. "I would start in the middle because people don't expect that."

Starting in the middle of this challenge isn't really an option because I wouldn't know where the middle is. The thing that struck me was "people don't expect that." How could I approach this in a new and unexpected way?

I decided to go the route of saying, "Yes, I want to be invisible. Why do I want to be invisible?" Although I didn't get direct answers. The energy opened up and other ideas started coming.

The next day, we were talking to my younger daughter about how her style makes her feel sexy. She said the word sexy with such shame. I'm not talking the sexy of immodest clothing but there is such a connotation around the word that we can't see it any other way. Again, me being me, we went clearing that. She had some comparisonitis to take care of.

We ended with dancing to some songs that own being sexy. Mehan Trainor's song "Me Too" was one we played. My older daughter came in my face and sang "If I were you, I'd want to be me too." That's when things came back around to me. My internal response was, "Yeah, I do want to be you."

In fact, as I'm looking through different thoughts they all boil down to "I don't want to be me." It's not an unheard of thought in my head, but it isn't one that stood out so strong before. Now, I'm healing it. Will it be fully gone the next time I write? I hope so but if not, it's ok because layers will be gone and that's a step closer.

An unexpected approach brought an idea fully into my mind to address. What unexpected approach do you need in order to heal your life and declutter your home?

Buried Feelings About God

This blog has been so hard to write. I just haven't known what to say.

It's been a crazy time for me. I knew surgery would be interesting, I didn't expect it to wipe me out the way it did. It wasn't just that there was more pain, it was that I was downright exhausted too.

This month, our roof started leaking. I personally, associate the roof with God, higher self, or other crown chakra energy. Of course, being me, I had to look at what was going on.

Water leaks often can be associated with grief or tears. Did I have a lot of grief with God? I didn't really know. I was trying to address it, did energy work on the home and self. It seemed to get cleared and yet, it leaked again.

Then I did a technique from Rachel Archelaus. She teaches Intuitive Art, which is another way to find out what is going on when you just can't find the answers looking straight on.

I was doing this process for issues with reading my scriptures. Why wasn't I reading? My results were interesting. There was some anger, some disconnect, and way over on the side, there was a big ball of sadness. There is that sadness idea again.

I took to healing. Why was I angry? Why was I sad? I have been dealing with a lot of layers but I want to tell you about one.

I was promised in three different blessings that I would heal quickly. A week ago, as of writing this, I was told that in a week I would be able to be off of the crutches, still using the brace. Well, here I am, not only am I still on the crutches, but a spider scare caused me to jerk my knee into a place of great pain so I couldn't put any weight on my leg for a while.

I lost it. I cried about broken promises and feeling betrayed. Promises of a sweetheart. Promises of healing, and it's not going so fast. Promises of a “beautiful home with the necessities of life”. I have so many promises given to me in priesthood blessings that aren't coming true that I feel anger and betrayal. This is showing up in this intuitive art, in my home leak, and in this overall depression I have had in the last little while.

It's hard to admit that I have been angry and felt hurt and betrayed by God. No wonder I haven't wanted to read scriptures and I have not had much desire to return to church when I do get better. I love the scriptures and I love church and I believe it to be true but there are all these hurt feelings.

With awareness comes healing. Now I know where to heal the deepest hurts. I know what I am really feeling so I can really deal with it.

Do you have similar things going on in your life? Feelings you just can't figure out. Maybe you have signs coming at you in your body, your home, or even through different intuitive methods. Are you giving yourself permission to receive the messages and go deep into healing? I sure hope so. If you need help, I'm super happy to help you come to a place of peace.

Fixing the Things That Stick

As I was pondering what to write about today, I thought about my front door. This has been a most challenging area for us.

Our front door has always had a bit of an issue. After a long time, I finally was able to convince my mom that we needed to replace the lock, despite what the landlord thought. The problem was, it was really hard to get the key in and unlock the door. From an energetic standpoint, I was so excited. I just knew that we were going to shift the energy and help us to get unstuck and possibly even move out.

The thing is, locks that won't open, things blocking the way out, and other similar things in our home are affecting our lives. It only takes reading one Feng Shui book to know this. What is happening in our homes is a direct reflection of our lives. Whether the home created the problem or we created the problem isn't as important as actually changing things.

For a while, things were going smoothly. We were able to unlock the door with ease and I was excited. I was even noticing changes in my life. My healing business was even getting more clients and I was beginning to trust that I could support my family on the income from my services.

I then had a friend decide he didn't like the way my door was hanging. His job is all about hanging doors so he's hyper-aware of how doors are hung. I appreciate his efforts and yet, it again we had issues with our door. The new way of hanging interfered with the doorknob. We struggled to turn the knob, making it once again hard to get in and out of the home. I didn't realize until just now that my healing business almost died right after this.

It's obvious to me that this circumstance wasn't just about the door. For some reason, we were recreating the problem with the stuck door. The ability to see a way out was magnified in our lives.

It wasn't long after that when I started working at my job. This job has some benefits but mostly it's exhausting me. I have really struggled to see a way out of that job. I didn't have the energy after work to work on my business. My clientele ceased to exist. My focus became to recover after work and try to squeeze family in.

Not long ago, I asked my friend to come and fix it. I told him how I appreciated his help but that we weren't able to open the door. The ability to go in and out of the door was much more important to me than the door hanging perfectly.

Since he finished the door, I have found myself refreshed when it comes to my business. I got a sprained knee that has its own message. One of the things that have come is a renewed desire to make my business work, this from the knee and the door being fixed. For me, the door represents clients. When the door is hard to unlock or open, the clients can't see me. It's like the door was closed to that option. With the door fixed, the option for my business to work is available.

Have a look around your home. Do you have a door that sticks? Do you have a lock that's hard to open? Maybe it's a toilet that is leaking or constantly running? What could that mean for you?

Find a way to resolve these in your home so that your home will support you in resolving them in your life. If you are experiencing repeat things, like me with my door, then look deeper into your subconscious thoughts. What is it you believe about yourself? Do you believe you are stuck? What are you going to do about it?

If you want some assistance in resolving issues in your home or soul, let me know. I would love to talk to you about a solution. Send a message to soulmagicalmichele@gmail.com
