What if your home felt like you? What if you could completely be yourself in all areas of life? How would that feel? How would your world be different?

Passion Test Meets My Soul's Agenda

Between my birthday and the New Year, like many, I have been on a reset journey. For me, it looks like reevaluating what I want from life.

A few months back, I came across Janet Attwood's Passion Test. You're supposed to write down a whole bunch of things you want to experience from life and then evaluate them on what you are more passionate about. You end up with a top 5 that you spend more of your attention on.

When I did this the first time, I got "Knitting my own clothes with nice yarns." It was a fun answer and I have been getting some nicer yarns and having a blast making my clothes. Most of the others just kind of fell by the wayside.

This time, I was reminded of a couple of things. One is my motivator and the other is my Soul's Agenda word. I thought I would talk a little about both and then explain what happened when I applied them to the passion test.

Motivators

There are 4 main ways in which people are motivated.

1. Some people are motivated by passion. Just feeling passionate about something keeps them going, it lights them up and they act on the things they are passionate about. These people need to feel that passion for all of their goals.
2. Some people are motivated by vision. They get a vision of what they want and that's enough. As long as they hold the vision, they are taking action and moving forward.
3. Some people are motivated by their why. As long as they have a good why, they will keep going.
4. Some people are motivated by peace. Will the goal bring peace to the heart? Then they more likely to act.

You may notice that 3 of these are frequently addressed in the goal setting world. In fact, it's really easy to tell people to find what they are passionate about, create a vision/goal, and make sure they have their why. Most people will find success from this because it will hit their motivator. The 4th one has a harder time finding motivation in general.

Soul's Agenda

The Soul Agenda word is a concept presented by Ani Anderson in her book 'Finding Your Soul's Agenda". You go through a process to find your one word to live life by. You'll also create your own definitions as well as look at what it feels like to live in the opposite. Everyone has a word that they use to describe an expansive, joyful feeling we get when we do something that is right for us.

A friend got Thrilling as her word. I know of someone getting Passion as their word and another getting Adventure. Alive or some version is a known word as well. My word is Light, mostly it is in the form of not heavy but also not dark works.

Back to the passion test.

I think I am motivated by peace. When I try to follow the idea of passion, it's hard to find anything that motivates me for long. It is easier to do it if it will be fun but even then, it's just not enough to keep me going. If I was motivated by the vision, I would be so successful. I am constantly trying to get the goals and visions in my mind, just to have them be forgotten. I know if the why would inspire, I would do a lot more.

My friend couldn't understand why I wasn't motivated to clean up a room when it would mean that my kids and I would all have a room. Things were a bit chaotic after my mom died. One would think giving my boys a space to sleep would be motivation but it wasn't. Even the idea of helping people in some way just doesn't motivate me. In a moment it feels like a nice plan but it does not sustain.

The problem is, peace isn't really a word that motivates me either. Peace is an elusive word. That's where the Soul Agenda word comes in. If I think about what makes me feel light, that is something I want to do.

I did the passion test. I asked the passion questions. I got this list:

  1. Using Natural Yarns to knit me stunning clothes.
  2. Created a Home for Christ to dwell in.
  3. Hold space for Christ in my heart.
  4. Spend quality time with my family.
  5. Create and hold space for Love (Christ) in people’s homes.
It's an okay list. They are all things I desire. I decided to try a different approach. This time, I traded out "passion" for my Soul Agenda word. Which one makes me feel Light? My list is a bit different.

  1. Creating a home for Christ to dwell in.
  2. Holding space for Christ in my heart.
  3. Creating and holding space for Love in people’s homes.
  4. Spending quality time with my family.
  5. Married to my sweetheart.
  6. Using natural yarns to knit me stunning clothes tied with making alpaca socks for my kids.
More importantly, I do feel peaceful about this. The order changed a bit and my knitting moved way down the list. I enjoy my knitting but if it's all I do during a day, I feel heavy at the end of the day. I want to go to bed feeling light about my day.

Will this motivate me? I'm still not sure but I know I feel better about my list then I ever did passion lists.

I hope something in this inspired you, helped you to feel a bit lighter and ready for the New Year. I hope 2025 is a great year for you!

Hugs,
Michele

Where is the Peace?

I guess I missed a week. I thought I had more posts in the queue. I am interrupting the Love Language series to write this post about the current circumstances of life.

It feels sad in my heart to see what is happening in the world. Judgments and mocking abound, fear and panic, and more. The world is heavy right now. The planet is responding to the heavy energy of the masses and there are earthquakes all over the place.

It almost seems pointless to write this. How will my one little voice make a difference? I believe in the ripple effect. Maybe only two or three of you will read this. Maybe you will be inspired. Then you will share any nugget of truth you receive, even if you don't feel inspired to share the post. Those nuggets will get your added insights. The next person will share nuggets and it continues to grow.

We must spread hope and light. We must ask ourselves, what can I do to lighten the energy of the world? Maybe your answer is just what you can do for yourself. Maybe it is what you can do for your family. Maybe you will be inspired to bigger actions. Follow those promptings and continue to ask what you can do to help lighten the energy of the world.

For me, this has been a time to really get clear. Do I really believe Christ will come again? Do I really believe God loves me? Do I believe he watches out for me, even though I couldn't get prepared as I was taught in church? So many questions for me to check in and see where I really am in this whole thing.

I consider this time a time of cleansing and uniting. As fears come up, I get to ask, “Are they mine?” Sometimes they are clearly not mine and I return to sender with God's light. If some remains, I get to ask myself, “What am I really afraid of?” Then I get to ask that those fears be healed. One time, nothing was clearing it. I followed an Access Consciousness tool. “That's an interesting point of view, I have that point of view.” As I said it, not knowing what my point of view even was, I had a thought about how I “needed a man” in this scary time. That was an interesting point of view that I didn't even know I had.

It's important when the fear is released to do things to invite the peace in. For me, much of this has come with music. I have also been listening to messages from my church. I have even read or listened to the scriptures more. Multiple times yesterday, I was reminded to breathe deep. What can you do to raise your vibration and keep it up?

With all this fear, it has been a challenge to keep hope. Each time one of my fears is triggered, it is easier to get swallowed up in the fears of the world. I have to be careful what I read on fb and believe me that isn't easy with all the talk of the things that cause me fear. I would get off altogether but I crave that connection and unity, so I'm just being as careful as I can. I'm also asking if there is anything I can do to lighten the load and inspire.

I think this is good. It's really getting me to look at not only being able to get to peace when I need to but how to get to sustained peace. How to keep my vibrations up in the hardest of times. We live in a world of polarities. You can give in to the pull to fear if you wish, or you can look for the opposite side of the coin. Where is the light in this situation? Where is the peace? Where is the joy? What am I grateful for? What are the opportunities here?

What amazing things are happening? Right now for me, there are blue skies with some white fluffy clouds. I love blue skies. We have enough computers for all five of my kids to get their school work done. My mom is alive and I choose to believe that all the energy work, essential oils, and prayers are helping her to improve. My kids will come home from their dad's today, I'm so excited. I have a grandson on the way and I get to crochet him a little blanket. My son and his wife are sending me cute pics and videos of my granddaughter. Life truly is what we make of it. I'm choosing to remind myself of how good life is. What about you? What are you grateful for?

Motivation, Do You Have It?

I have kind of become obsessed with something I just learned. I have shared it on YouTube, on my FB page, with friends, and in multiple comments in various places. It has been this weird key for me that I wouldn't have expected, so I am sharing wherever I can, including here.

You know how so many different personality profiling things put you into groups of four? I recently did one I hadn't done before. For the most part, it was similar information but there were some differences. It was more about how they are in business and more importantly what their key motivator is.

There is one group that Merilyn calls the VisionMaker. They are the people that set goals and visions and that's enough to motivate them. They have the drive to go after what they want.

In consideration of homes, I don't know if they would even come to a blog like mine. They would set a goal, create a vision of what they want their home to look like and go after it. I guess if they were wounded and needed help remembering who they are, they could end up here.

I'm guessing in terms of manifesting, they would take to vision boards and other forms of vision creation like a fish to water. There are so many manifesting tools that are designed to help one create a vision. If you were motivated by vision, then it makes sense that once you knew what you wanted your life to be, you'd go after it. These would also be the people that emphasize inspired action. They may or may not even think of it as manifesting.

The next group is the PassionMaker. They are the people that get really excited about what they are doing and that excitement is enough to keep them going. That passion is what motivates them.

In homes, they very easily could end up here. Easily distracted and not wanting to do things if they aren't fun or they haven't found a passion for keeping their homes in good order. Yeah, I could totally see that they would be drawn to another way to approach the house, always seeking a passion for it. They may not know that's what they are seeking. If they can find their passion, their home would get and stay in order.

In manifesting, it makes sense that they would love experiential manifesting techniques. The ones where you bring in as many senses while they create. Anything and everything to get them excited about what they want to manifest. These would be the people that do amazing at manifesting when they tune into how their dreams make them feel. If they can stir up the passion, then they will go for their manifesting dreams. I can think of a number of manifesting teachers that use this style and they are doing amazing things in their lives.

The next group is called the HeartMaker. They are motivated by meaning and purpose. If they can find a meaning in what they are doing, they'll keep going.

Many of these types are naturally organized, often OCD in their perfectionism. They wouldn't usually be drawn to my work because of the organizing ideas I may or may not present. They would be drawn to the meaning I could help them find, or tips for helping them find or unlock their purpose. For a long time, I thought this was the way to be, always seeking meaning and purpose for life. Looking back, I know I wasn't motivated by it, I was just doing what I thought was the way to success.

In manifesting, they are people that need to really get their why behind their manifesting. It's not enough for them to get a dream. It's not enough for them to get excited. They are the ones that have to see a greater purpose in their manifesting.

Before I tell you about the fourth type, let me say that there is nothing wrong with any of the four types. All types of people need to get a vision, find some passion, and create meaning. We all need all four motivators in our lives. The difference is, a VisionMaker with passion and no vision won't get far. A PassionMaker can have meaning and vision but without that passion, they'll be easily distracted.

I have stopped before mentioning the fourth type because I wanted to talk a bit about how almost all, if not all of the manifesting tools I have ever learned and all of the organizing and decluttering information seems to approach the situation from one of these three ways. I have rarely heard of the fourth being mentioned. Maybe a little in homes, but I seriously can't think of one manifesting tool that really addresses or asks questions that would help the fourth motivation type. I know because this is my type.

I am a PeaceMaker. I'm motivated by peace and ease. I want things to be as easy as possible. I also am always trying to find ways to have peace. Sometimes parenting is really hard because I have 6 kids and they are not all motivated by this peace thing, in fact, I'm not sure any of them are.

A PeaceMaker could definitely end up on a blog like this. Sure they'll want their home clean but they may not realize what they really want is the peace and ease that comes with a clean and organized home. They'll be interested in the home healing because of the peaceful energy that it could bring to the home. They'll hope that having a clean home would help their families to be more peaceful. They might think, “If we have less stuff, the kids will get along better.”

In manifesting, well I'm experimenting with that one. I know that when I asked myself a powerful question it changed my life. “How can I bring more peace to the world?” For the first time in my life, I was motivated to really, and I mean really, get clear about my message. I was motivated to act on the information I was learning and not stay in that procrastination phase of research. The idea that something I say or do could bring peace to someone's life and/or create ease for them is so powerful. So far, every time I have asked myself the question, even writing about it here, I get tears in my eyes. It makes my soul so happy. The results have been this constant little voice in my head, what can we do next to create peace? Is there a video to make? A blog to write? A FB post? What can we do to spread peace? The sessions I was putting off got done really fast because I might, just might be able to give my clients a little peace.

I'm thinking if that question was able to get me to a place where I was moving forward in a new way in my business, what could it do for manifesting in general? What if I asked questions that got me to see the ease and peace that would come from my manifesting? When I asked myself about my book, the thought came, “Well, I would definitely have more peace without that book nagging me.” After that, I actually started working on my book, something I've been saying I would do for a long time. If I could add an element of ease, I'm sure I would finish writing.

I am experimenting with questions designed to get me in touch with peace and ease. I am experimenting in how I can bring peace into my pocketbook. How I can have peace in my relationships. Not just desiring it, I've always desired it, but now actively asking specifically about ease and peace, knowing that's what motivates me.

Did you know that I have a mantra that always seems to center me with myself? I have had it for a while and now it's kind of ironic.

I am the empress of peace, daughter of deity, heir to the throne of the most high.

Enough about me, what about you? Did you see a possible motivation for you? Maybe you can see some of your loved ones might have a different motivation than you. If you want to really learn more about the four types, you can go to https://www.merilyn.com/WowArchetypeQuiz. It's not an affiliate. It's just something I want to share because it has been so profound in my life. At the time of writing this, after you take the quiz, you'll get offered a free class to learn about all of the types. It's so worth it.

Peace in the Consequences

As I energetically brought my home to mind for healing, I saw or rather didn't see the foundation. Where the foundation was meant to be was an empty space. Is it any wonder that I ended up in a pile on the floor of my job? No foundation to stand on in my home. That's just a representative of what is going on inside of me.

As I was healing my Soul, I spoke with a part of me that was angry and hurt. She'd “kicked the leg out from under me.” She had much regret because she didn't know that the consequence would be so great. A hurt and frustrated part of me just wanted attention and to be heard. This created a severe sprain that may even need surgery.

As I was doing these healings, I became aware of a reality that in some ways I wish wasn't. At the same time, I am at peace with it. Our energy creates circumstances and we can heal that energy but most of the time, the consequence has to finish out. Although miracles can happen, there are some areas that either won't have or likely won't have miracles.

If I have a torn ligament or two, the chance of them reattaching themselves is pretty slim. Maybe with the right tools and beliefs, it could happen. Maybe there is a reason beyond my current understanding of why that won't happen. I only know that I had a peaceful awareness that I would have consequences and it could include surgery.

I am reminded of a woman who fell off a cliff. She will be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. There isn't much she can do about it. Healing the cause of her fall won't cure her. A criminal who changes his ways, a true conversion from crime will still have consequences to account for in his life. Does that mean the healing shouldn't be done? Does it mean the criminal shouldn't change his ways?

What if my healing now prevents complications? What if my healing now causes my knee to heal very fast? What if my healing now prevents a repeat injury or other future pains that are common after such an injury? The woman in the wheelchair could find a renewed energy for life, or even prevent future organ damage as a result of healing. The man sitting in jail who has had a reform could get a lesser punishment and even prevent a future punishment that would be far greater. He could even be the means of inspiration for someone else.

I don't believe it is ever too late for healing the soul. The greatest blessings that come from healing the soul are a deep sense of joy and appreciation for life. An opportunity comes to step into the bigness we all have inside of us. For some people, that bigness will come in very small places. A body with limitations can still feel bigger than life. When you feel bigger than life, it doesn't matter what circumstances you are in. You'll find a reason to love where you are. Of course, that will also bring about more opportunity to have circumstances and environment reflect the awesomeness of you.

Even with all of my experience, I was surprised at the missing foundation. I knew that I had been feeling ungrounded and like I was unsupported in life. I hadn't thought to look at what my home was reflecting back to me. I know that sounds silly coming from me. Sometimes we forget to use our own tools.

I feel more supported than ever in my life. For the first time in my life, I can sense angels around me longing to serve me in whatever way. There is peace and connectedness I hadn't had before. I know things are on the right track for me. Won't it be fun to see where this leads?

I would love to support you in your healing journey. I have created a page that lists my Soul and Home healing services. If you feel drawn to check it out, then please do so. If you have questions or comments, feel free to ask them below or send me a message.
