What if your home felt like you? What if you could completely be yourself in all areas of life? How would that feel? How would your world be different?

The Deep Pit

A few months ago, I went on a big kick to get my bedroom in order. I was decluttering and reorganizing. It felt great to get it all done. My main intention during the process was to actually declutter everything in my room.

A little background, I live with my mom so the only space I have complete control over is my room. Most of my own personal stuff is in that room. So, for me to declutter my room meant I was decluttering most of my stuff.

Some of the things were hard to get through and I learned a lot about myself. Then, I was done. I was able to move onto the downstairs bathroom which was another room that was mostly my stuff. After that, I just seemed to have no energy to face anything in the house.

That led me into a weird funk that actually affected my whole life. I didn't want to face anything outside of the safety of my own room. I wasn't spending all my time in my room. I just wasn't doing cleaning anywhere in the house. I wasn't making my YouTube videos, I wasn't working in my business at all, and I wasn't enjoying life. I was in a pit.

One of the things I teach is that the patterns in our homes are linked to the patterns in our lives. That means that if I want to switch the energy in my life, one tool is doing something different in my home. If I want to switch the energy in my home, I can change something in some area of my life.

I had the awareness that with my current room layout, I felt like I was sleeping in a pit. Huh? That was exactly how life felt. What could I do about it?

I asked the questions; I got an answer. I needed to rearrange my room.

It hadn't been that long. Was I wrong in my room placement before? No!

Before, my intent was to declutter. For me, knowing I had to move my bed to a certain spot was an encouragement to declutter what was in the way. I needed that push and that was the motivation for the room layout.

I've also learned some interesting things. I hadn't fully cleared the energy from a situation with my neighbors. Much of the situation happened with my bed in the same place and I often stressed, cried, and unloaded in prayer while in my bed. That energy was still hanging around. I was able to finish clearing my home and my heart from that situation.

Now, it's time to rearrange again. This time my intention is getting myself out of the pit. I've already begun the process. I haven't moved my bed as of writing this, but I have moved some other things in the room. Already I can feel a difference in the room. It feels bigger and lighter, which takes much of that pit feeling away.

Things have been happening since the moving of things. I'm feeling less of that pit feeling in my life. I'm recognizing some things that need to change. I have had some ahas about my life and business. All within a few days. I even reconnected with an old friend that used to edit my blogs.

I don't think it's a coincidence that things are shifting in my life after I shifted things in my home. It's not the first time this has happened. It's even a big component of Feng Shui.

If you're feeling like you're in a pit, trapped in a cycle, or some other stuck or heavy feeling, have you asked what you can do in your home to support you in getting out? If not, I hope you do so today.

Lots of love from my heart to yours,

Michele

New, New, New

Truly, I love new things. I don't know what it is about new things, I just know that I love them.

Sometimes, a new thing is about returning to an old idea in a new way. I know a lot of people prefer to pay for a blog site and others have a preference for a particular company. For myself, I have struggled keeping up on a blog since I left Blogger.

Maybe it isn't about the format. Maybe it is. I guess we'll find out.

I originally shut down my blog Heart & Spirit because I was rebranding myself. It was kind of hard in many ways. I had to learn a new format as I paid for web hosting and used another company. I had my old blog all adjusted and hacked to work fairly nice and here I was with a whole new system.

This new blog will take a while to get together. It's just the way it is. Maybe things have changed with Blogger over the last couple of years. That's okay. I feel like I've come back home and that's important to me.

I'm not sure what my brand is anymore. I guess we'll see where it goes. It's been quite a journey of self-discovery over the last few years. I think I have things figured out and then I am back to the drawing board.

Is it fear? Maybe. Is it stemming from a deep core wound? Probably.

I keep trying to separate things. Even though it never works, I keep trying. ACK! The other thing I keep trying to leave behind is the fascination I have with homes, the energy of homes, and how they connect to us. Why I keep leaving that behind, I'm not sure, YET.

I think it's kind of funny how so many of us try to compartmentalize our lives when that isn't even how our brains work. Maybe compartmentalizing works for most men. I'm not sure as I'm not a man. I just know that everything is connected for me and I get to remember that for all aspects of my life.

I hope to fall in love with writing again. I know it calls me. I'll be writing about the pit I've been in. As I think about it, that's how that other blog site was feeling for me. It was hard to write there because it felt like I was in a pit. Maybe being back on Blogger will feel open and welcoming so I can get back into the groove. I hope so.

Thanks for being here on my journey. I have a lot of ideas and thoughts to share. A whole list of things to write and I'm sure there will be quite a few coming.

Lots of love from my heart to yours,

Michele
